Tablet App Resolution Question

Hello,

I had a question for those who own Andriod tablets. I know for iPads (Or atleast back then when the iPad was first released) that apps needed to be programmed to support tablets and if they were not they would display as if you were on a phone by making the resolution smaller in the app. Is this the case also for some apps on Android?

Depends. Some look bad and some don't. Depends entirely on how the app was designed.

Some developers somehow bundle a tablet interface along with the phone interface. For example, for Bookari Reader, the interface is very similar, except that in Library mode, the phone is only able to show one book per row, so to see all the books, you scroll up and down. On my 7 inch tablet, I'm able to view it in rows of three.

Very few android apps will tell you that they are designed for tablets, but I can't think of many I've tried that don't work just fine on mine. The only ones I've had problems with are one or two that only worked in portrait mode, because I mainly use the tablet in landscape, but otherwise no real problems (and mine's a 10 inch tablet). And as chanchan says, some take advantage of the larger screen.
