Help Tablet not turning on

sfbloodbrother

Extreme Android User
So, I have 3 tablet (All Android of course). One of them, the one I always keep in the house is missing. I always keep it on the bed to watch youtube. I may have taken it somewhere else in the house, or something but now I just can't find it. I was using it last week, but now... Its missing, leaving me with only 2 tablets.

What can I do to find my tablet? Is there an app that I can install on it, or something?

If the battery has run down, then no app will help that. Did you look behind/under the bed? It isn't in your bed linens that are about to be put in the washer is it?
Just tossing ideas of where to look...

So, when I thought I had lost it, then found it, it had fallen off the bed. Thankfully no cracks, but now the tablet won't turn on, and even plugging it into the charger won't spark it to life.

What can I do to bring my baby back to life?

Problem solved. Just needed to charge for a while before it started getting the charge.

I had found it but now it won't turn on at all. I post in nexus 7 2012 support forums about this, hoping I can do something to make it turn on.

Leave it plugged in for 24 hours then try turning it on. Common issue, unfortunately, with the Nexus 7.

Here is what you do, plug it and wait 10 minutes, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, that should bring it back.

I will also moved this to the N7 section, so others can chime in. ;)

A ten-minute charge won't bring a dead nexus 7 back to life as it might for other phones/tablets.

instead connect it to charge using the original charger and cable and leave it for several days (yes, days) before attempting to switch it on. Then it will almost certainly work :-)

Don't let a Nexus 7 become totally discharged, it's a bit of a pain bringing it back from the dead compared with most other devices.

If that ain't the truth. I ended up having to send mine in for repair when it ultimately wouldn't power on, no matter what combination of plugged in, not plugged in, different cables, button presses, battery unplugged, nothing worked. Funnily enough, when they shipped it back, they shipped it turned on. I went to see if it would power up and I was already at the lock screen.

But yes, definitely charge it up. Also, you MAY need to try different cables if after a good chunk of a day or two doesn't get a response. My original cable for mine developed issues within a month of having it. Using the cable from my G2 works flawless though.

I own a Nexus 7 tablet. I have for days tried to charge it up. well it wouldn't charge. Now I can't even turn it on. It hasn't been able to fully charge for awhile now. I have no idea what to do. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
