Need recommendations for a new tablet for my husband. Would like SD and HDMI slots plus USB port. (HDMI slot not as important as SD). He's a gamer but mostly wants the tablet for travel (email and internet). He hates my iPad so Apple is out of the picture. Yes, this is a Christmas gift. I've read reviews on CNET, etc. but all they do is confuse me. HELP! (And many thanks in advance!)

The new Note 10.1 is good, plus has the S-pen which is always good for people who like using a stylus, and even though you might not think it's useful, it can come in handy at certain times and even make it easier for people to write.
It also is really fast, good specs, good for gaming if he wants.
Otherwise some cheap alternatives are the Nexus 7 (2013) version. Cheapest version is 199$ so it's pretty worth it. Has good specs, only 7in tablet though.
