Root Tablet Rooting

I want to root my Note 10.1 2014 WiFi tablet. I have found plenty of guides but none of them reference the bootloader. I have rooted phones but always had to unlock the bootloader first. Is this not the case with WiFi only tablets? Thanks in advance for any reponses.

To my knowledge the Note 10.1 2014 bootloader is not factory encrypted. Root at will. Just KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING and WHY YOU'RE ROOTING. Ask any questions prior to beginning. Here's a great video guide:
