Both the Kindle Fire and Nook Color can be had for around $200 for a decent Android experience. The Toshiba thrive is on sale at Best Buy for $299 if you want something a little larger. With a really cheap import you run a risk of getting a lemon with no support.

As per Lunatic - it is worth spending a little more money, so that you are sure to be able to get support (either from the manufacturer or from us).
