what can be done on a tablet can you play facebook games on it and use for course work

Android tablets vary with their capabilities. Avoid cheap knock-off tablets at all costs! They often have little to no access to popular apps. Stay with a good new or used, popular, name brand tablet.
I'm not sure that you can play Facebook games on tablets, as I do not play Facebook games. However, most of the popular apps in Google Play will work fine on a good tablet. You're welcome to check out the General Tablet Talk Forum here for more information:
