Tabs limit reached?

Still a newby but really enjoying my phone - until yesterday!
Apparently I have reached my 'tabs limit' I have read previous posts on this problem, but I am none the wiser!
I don't know how I have opened multiple tabs, and I certainly don't know how to close them - help!

Whoops! Yes my web browser, Google. Sony Tipo
I couldn't even open a link because my tabs limit had been reached, although I have had a good look and discovered that I did have a lot (don't know how many) tabs open but I did also discover how to close them. I couldn't explain how I did it - although I didn't find it difficult it's just knowing where to look!

Are you using Chrome or the Sony Browser?

Try swiping the tabs offscreen
