Take my ATRIX back for 2?

The only reason I would upgrade would be if the internals were significantly improved (like faster processor or real 4G capabilities). I went from an iPhone 3G to a 3GS and it was worth it for a variety of reasons. Thankfully, I have seen the light of the green robot :-).

But, as stated above if you're within 30 days, and the cut in internal memory isn't a problem (you can always get a MicroSD card), then go for it.

See what I said here about the notion of "Real 4g" -

To be honest, there is NO 4G.
Every 4G that is being sold is really a 3.5G technology. That goes for the HSDPA (AT&T/T-Mobile), LTE (AT&T/Verizon (And Sprint is moving to LTE)), and WiMax (Sprint). None of them are real 4G.

Real 4G was supposed to be a minimum of 100Mbps to a client in motion (Moving from tower to tower), 1Gbps to a stationary client, and full IP6.

But, all of the carriers complained and moaned and the official consortium that sets those standards caved and lowered the standards.

It sucks, but that's what we've been stuck with.

So, even though the Atrix2 is HSDPA, not LTE, it's still just as much a "Real 4G" as any of the other devices (LTE/WiMax).

for those reluctant to give up their fingerprint scanner and extra 8GB of *storage* (memory is RAM, flash is storage like a hard drive), take a look at the screen on the atrix2. Bring in your atrix to compare, and prepare to be shocked at just how bad primary colors are represented by the RBGB pentile abomination known to you as your atrix screen.

I did this comparison, and was blown away by the atrix2 screen. The extra .3" is considerable, and the RGB-stripe LCD on the 2 is *FAR* superior to what I have. You might also consider that if you bought your atrix during the early period when AT&T and moto were claiming 1080P video, you just may have a reason for returning your atrix.... ;)

I did go by the store and look at the difference.

While I see a difference, it is not enough of a difference to sway me. Sorry, but I'm just not impressed with the Atrix2.

I feel that, over all, it is a DOWNGRADE. Sure, one or two features got updated... but, it's just not enough to be worth changing, paying more, and re-upping my contract longer.

Agreed.

I did the same thing and the Atrix 2 screen is much better looking. But for me, I still prefer the Atrix 4G. There isn't anything wrong with mine, so it's not worth the upgrade for me. The Atrix 4G meets all my needs and more. Glade you like yours though.
