Root Taking app requests for ICS rom

A boot menu or over/underclock and undervolt app would be nice ( like a jake bites)

Miui dialer and contacts. Or just a miui V4 ics port :p.


A root file manager be nice
 
Angry Birds Space!! Just kidding. On a more serious note (F#?), Titanium Backup would be handy to have on there. DroidSail App2SD root or some other App2SD app. I also agree that a file management app would be beneficial.
 
Root Toolbox Pro and Rom Toolbox Pro and Busybox Installer Pro if the rom will be rooted. Rom Toolbox Pro has a Root File Manager built in and a whole bunch of nice featurs.
 
I'd love to see an ICS build with pretty much a bare minimum of apps (gapps, camera/camcorder, voice recorder, mail, superuser and others that are needed for the phone to operate normally as a daily driver). Any performance tweaks would be great, too. I love android for the customization, so adding too many other apps that we can easily download from Google Play defeats the purpose of a custom ROM in my opinion.

I am with you, keep the ROM simple, and let people add what they want to it after it is flashed.

The only thing I would REALLY like to see in a Breakout ROM is Theme Chooser..
 
Now that I won't have to spend time amd money trying to get my truck safe to drive, I can spend time working on the ICS rom. Feel free to continue making suggestions on things to add to it.
 
Just keep it as simple as you can. I also would like a theme chooser included. That is all I ask. What a ROM this is gonna be!:D:D:D

A way to customize the lockscreen would be cool :) And the notifications bar. Those big Pantech buttons take up a lot of space
 
Definitely get rid of the Pantech lock screen. That thing is ugly. Apex launcher would be nice too.

Have you tried the MagicLocker app to customize your lockcreen?
 
I'm with the others, as little as possible included let users add what they need. With the internal memory challenges of this phone that would be best.

Like the rest, I'm looking forward to this ROM!

Yeah that as well as MiLocker and Widgetlocker all work great. I would just like a better looking default locker (ICS) and then if I feel like customization I will get one of those apps.

Agreed. Pantech did OK with the functionality of their lockscreen, it's just ugly as hell.. lol
 
With widgetlocker, the annoying thing is that the nuance voice control button activates from the lock screen. Which is really annoying if the button is accidentally pressed while the phone is in your pocket.

...I'm a bit anxious about flashing ROM (noob at this) but I think I'd give it a try for this one.

Sorry. The less "baked" into the ROM, the better. If you can get it on the Appstore yourself and it doesnt directly affect a rooted phone, it doesn't belong in a ROM. IMHO

I have been testing the various I.c.s. roms available for Droid bionic (my girlfriend has a breakout). anyway after installing the theory self kang of cm9. the aokp Lang by theory and spearmint gummy 9.0.

I would have to say the gummy rom is far and away the best one. I wanted to add this in case you are porting. I had the most issues with the cm9 selfkang.

I like the gummy add on menu as far as built in options. anything close to that rom would make my gf very happy.

also I like having both apex and nova launchers.

i know but who likes downloading them over and over or titanium backuping and reloading them. it's such a bore hhahahha
 
I will probably have multiple choices, as there are some "must have" apps for my personal rom that not everyone here would be able to use. I will hopefully be able to start on it tomorrow; my internet connection has been flakey this weekend, so I wasn't able to download the Android source code to start this project.
