Hi.
I just got this phone and it's awesome as is....but of course I rooted and got the CWM recovery on here.
An ICS ROM is very much appreciated.
My suggestion is just to keep it simple.
id say so. it would be almost impossible to do. theres nothing to go off of as zero pantech devices run 4.0. The broken out rom is a good example. Yes its tweaked yes its debloated and adjusted slightly but underneath it at its core its the same android 2.3.3 that pantech used on the device. For building a 4.0 rom you would have zero to go off of. it makes building the rom almost impossible.
not saying it cant be done saying it is very very hard. how much stuff didnt work on cm9 port? how reliable was it? huawai phones are simple to do because they run bone stock android to begin with the pantech needs verizons set up system or it doesnt work at all. the pantech has an lte radio you have to account for. impossible no. next to impossible yes.
Not dead, just on hold, partly due to a lack of time to get some version of the ICS source code to compile properly. I do intend to complete this project.
i hope you do it man. my posts in no way are downing you trying. i just know how hard it is what your trying to do. it will be much easier when the new pantech for verizon comes out it is suppose to ship with ics. then you have an easy starting point. more power to ya man i hope you pull it off.
theres almost zero development for this phone. pantech just does things funky on it. id be happy with just a nice cm7 rom actually. but prolly wont ever see one. broken out is a decent rom. it has some tweaks and some custom looks it runs pretty decent.
