Help Taking apps out of folders

Hi everyone. When I first got my S3, I thought I would like using folders, so I built a few and dragged appropriate apps into them.

Now I find that I actually prefer just zipping through the alphabetized list, so I want to take apps OUT of folders.

Is there a way of doing this that is faster than dragging them out one at a time?

Just long press the folder and press delete and the apps will be put back in the app draw when the folder is removed.

If youre outside the US, hold down menu button in homescreen and type the first letters of an app to find it faster

My problem is sometimes I remember what an app does but not its name. That's where folders come in handy.
