Help Taking Forever to Charge Battery

My HTC One S has always charged up full in about a 30-50 minutes. Now it takes up to 3-4 hours to give it a full charge. I know it's not the cable or outlet because my LG Optimus G phone charges in about 40 minutes on the same power cord and plug.

What could be making my phone take so long to charge?

Take a close look at the phone's microUSB connector for fluff, dirt or a bend pin.
For rapid charging the phone has to "see" the data pins correctly.

Thanks Herry2, but I've checked that and that is not the problem.

Sorry for a late response here, but make sure the cord you're using isn't damaged.

Also, press and hold the power button until the phone reboots. Sometimes things get all bound up and it just needs a reboot.
