taking my Sprint Note 2 to Australia

i am going to Australia ( Sydney and Brisbane) for a week next month for work , ( tough duty, I know) and want to use my Note 2 without getting hammered by roaming charges.

• my number 1 priority will be e-mail
• 2nd would be to accept phone calls
• 3rd would be web browsing
• 4th would be texts
• 5th would be sending a phone call

Any suggestions?

• 2nd would be to accept phone calls >> Others will chime in but you would need an international plan or as listed below in option 5
• 3rd would be web browsing >> Can be done on WiFi
• 4th would be texts >> Same as above would need a plan, ot use an app to text through WiFi
• 5th would be sending a phone call >> Same as above would need a plan, or you can use Google Voice through Groove IP but through WiFi only otherwise you need a International plan

I am sure other will offer options, but those are the ones I know of as I don't travel long distance much.
