Help Taking picture while recording video?

I tried to search the forums, but every search kept giving me a database error page.

So, how do you take a picture while recording video? I've gone through all the settings I can find on the camera. Is this yet another feature that Verizon decided we didn't need?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have the sprint version and i can take pictures while recording video simply by tapping the screen. The screen gets outlined by a yellowish frame and voila a pic is taken.

Yeah, no such thing on mine. :(

Saw a video on Youtube that showed a camera icon to take a picture while recording, but that's not on my Verizon S3. Ugh. This is one of the features I was looking forward to the most.

Issue solved. Thanks for helping.

Turns out the "take a picture while recording" feature is disabled if anti-shake is on. Once I turned it off, I was able to do it.

You can do this with anti-shake on or off. If it's on you can tap the screen anywhere if it's off there's a little camera icon in the top right hand corner you can tap to snap a pic while recording.

It's automatically disabled if anti-shake is turned on, so check that.

EDIT: Just noticed that's already been mentioned :)

This is incorrect. Tapping the screen with anti-shake on just changes the focus area. Anti-shake need to be off.
