I have heard that there is a misfiled .xda file that causes the battery to drain prematurely. Moving it into the right place is supposed to remedy this, although I would have no idea how to do that without rooting.

staying away from rooting for the time being! will wait for the official update

Keep your charger handy........you will kill the battery in a few hours when you first start using it.
