is there an app that you can talk to you phone and it puts it into text form to send? i texted a guy i know today and his reply was like 'what.Ball? !! Cya. 6. plAyers low. C at best'

i asked him if he is using talk to text he said ya.

so i know its possible! plus before i set up my voice mail my messages from people used to go to my text. difficult to read but if you talk slow it works well.

all i see is text to speech. i need the other way. i know the technology is possible!

thanks

Vlingo, talk to text, talk to open apps, talk to Google search, talk to navigate, talk to call, talk to update Facebook, and has an in car feature that makes everything I just mentioned completely hands free. Best of all it is completely free for Android.

great app it seems but its really confusing. gota get used to it

the vlingo widget control on my main screen is nice. I drive as a courier for work so its nice to have this. thanks!

got one beef already though... i cant get it to wake up by saying 'hey vlingo'????

other than that , you can ask it anything and it will tell you. unreal

My wife has a hard time with waking up Vlingo also, try saying it as one word. What Vlingo replies when you wake it up can be changed in the settings, mine says "whats up beeeatch" which gets a laugh. It is like everything on Android, play around with it, tutorials etc and eventually it will be like an old friend.

ya still what sucks is you can say 'search NHL box scores' and you get a google page search. thats great but its hands on from there on in. not too safe driving! i wish it had webpage navigation too.

and i wish you could wake it up when phone is on stand by. it only wakes up by saying hey vlingo when the screen is on and in car is turned on. that blows hard. fix!

also a negative with vlingo is you cant text someone who isnt in your phonebook. lke you cant say hey vlingo then say text . 519-777-1239 then message.

you have to say a name not a number. that really sucks. so much for true hands free. vlingo is like 80% hands free to me
