Talked to Verizon rep about exchanging your phone after the 28th.

he said as long as it's in within the two week time period, you can keep your unlimited data, so guess that is sort of good news

Again, can't take this at face value, people have gotten this answer, then when asking for a guarantee, notation on their account, and/or supervisor verification, the CSR walks it back. The training manual is ambigious on this as well, It states that for exchanges, a customer can't go back to their unlimited data... however this section seems like it only applies to people who buy new phones after the 28th, and know they are giving up unlimited. But who knows...

Years ago I upgraded to an LG Phone at the Walt Whitman Mall (Huntington Sta, NY) VZW store. I hated the speakers and returned it before leaving the mall. I then left Verizon for ATT. VZW charged me $175 release fee and no matter what I did I couldn't get them to remove it.

I'd get something in writing from a store manager saying that you can in fact do this without getting screwed later.

The question I have is if you do this today and return it within the time period, that begins when you get the phone, can you keep the unlimited plan if you switch to a different phone that wasn't available by 6/27. I don't even see how VZW could use the 6/27 date when they don't even have these phones in the store. If they didn't have the big LTE Network, they'd get eaten alive by this.
