I had the Samsung S5 on Verizon since last summer but was not crazy about that phone as I had LG's before that and for some reason just like the LG phones better so just got the G4 last week on Verizon. With the S5 while I was in a phone call I could turn my 4g on if I had to look something up while in the car and not connected to wifi and now on this phone I can't do that. On the S5 I just had to make sure HD calling was off for that to work which was fine because I had no use for HD calling.
With the S5 I was under the impression that feature on a phone was carrier specific but asked on the Verizon forums and was told the G4 does not have that feature, is this correct? I really like this phone but lately I have to take a lot of important phone calls where ever I am and at times I need to turn on my 4g while in the call to look something up. I don't leave my 4g or wifi on 24/7 so only turn them on when I need them. I know most people just leave both on but I live on the border of Canada and go over a lot and afraid I would forget to put my phone in airplane mode before I go over and something would happen to cause data charges or would get phone calls while over there.
