Talking over Skype / GTalk?

My girlfriend has an iPhone. Tomorrow I will have the Droid. Neither of us have a whole lot of minutes (I'm on my family plan splitting 700 minutes between 2 brothers, my mom, and myself and she is just broke and therefore has the lowest minutes plan).

I know that she has a skype app on her phone that allows her to make skype to skype calls for free (i.e. no usage of minutes) as long as she's connected to wi-fi. Can the same thing be done with android 2.0?

For all intents and purposes, I believe you can.

It depends on whether or not they have released an App and it is available in the store, but you can use VoIP apps on an Android phone on Verizon... so it should work.
