I'm assuming "smpt" is a typo and that you meant smtp (i.e., regular email)? Your phone must be both registered to the Vodaphone network and have the proper APN info in Settings > WIRELESS & NETWORKS in order to send mail. Of course, email server/port# etc. must also be configured properly (you can probably find this info on Vodaphone's website).
If you continue to have a problem with this, tell us what happens when you attempt to send a message. Note that you cannot reply to a guest post. It will either be necessary to create a new guest post (referencing this one), or register as a member (it's free).
