Tango Video Chat?

has anyone tried it yet? iam iffy on it cuz of the reviews. But says it works mobile to desktop? comments have said the app likes to boot on by itself and Kills battery like no other.
 
It seems to work really well. I hope they get some of the bugs out (it seems to want to open on its own a lot when I have it running in the background).

Overall, I think it has a LOT of potential.

This app definitely looks promising to video chat with my iPhone 4 friends (fring doesn't really cut it). Once they work out the bugs I'll give it a try.
 
I just tested it out, and it works great... I sent someone the market link and once they installed it, they just appeared in my contact list... Super easy to setup for people not very tech savvy... Picture and audio were good.. I was on 4g, and her on wifi... The only time the picture became distorted was when I started to walk while chatting... I hope they add some type of call log, and stop app from just randomly popping up
 
have any of you guys tried the Tango video chat app? Probably the best I have demo'ed so far

My rings when some one initiates a call. You mean it just randomly starts on its own?

Picture quality is the best out of all of them especially on 4g and wifi
 
Picture quality rocks and yes it randomly starts on it's own. A lot of people are having the same issue.
 
I just got this on my Samsung Vibrant, but it only the rear camera comes on, so it's useless. Can someone please tell me how to make the front facing camera come on? Thanks!

The Vibrate doesn't have a front facing camera. Only the Samsung Epic.
 
My Vibrant has a front facing camera. Here's a youtube video of someone else unboxing a Vibrant like mine and at 2:08 he shows the front facing camera.

Also here is a link from Bell. Note the section called "Video Calling": With a front and rear facing camera, you can use this smartphone to connect with friends face-to-face from anywhere in the world. Bell Video Calling makes it easy.
 
tango services run on phone at startup even without starting the app ... i don't recall seeing an option to prevent this, will have to look later ...

Ahhh... Not the T-Mobile Vibrant. My bad. lol
 
I believe you have Proximity sensor for auto turn-off on the front but no camera, you only have camera on the back side 5mpix. Maybe not sure.
