TapFish - interacting with neighbors?

I was reading a guide for TapFish which said you can tap on your neighbors' fish to buy them and get info about them, and you can send messages and gifts. I believe it was an iphone guide, but can we do any of this with the android version? I can't even tap on my neighbors' fish.
 
Alright, clearly if you have no idea what this game is, the post won't make sense. Get over it and don't waste time posting. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, maybe *they* can answer my question.
