Task Launcher, Tasker - the use of???

I have Task Launcher and have created a couple of tags to use for the car and when at home.
Can anyone explain in laymans terms as to Task Launcher and Tasker uses. I am reading (perhaps) that Tasker automates actions independent of NFC tags and that Task Launcher can use the functions created by Tasker to create an NFC tag. Am I correct?
A step by step instruction would be very helpful.

Step 1 - Create a task in Tasker. We'll call it "Bob".
Step 2 - Create a new tag in NFC Task Launcher.
Step 3 - Select "New Task".
Step 4 - Add action.
Step 5 - Select "Tasker"
Step 6 - Select "Tasker Task" (not sure why Task Launcher requires this step)
Step 7 - Select "Bob" from the list of Tasker Tasks
Step 8 - Select OK for the Configure Action popup
Step 9 - Select "Done"
Step 10 - Write the tag
Step 11 - Profit.

When you scan the tag, "Bob" will run. But this will only work on your phone.

Thanks for that. It would seem therefore that my reasoning was correct, but I believe that Tasker must be installed before Task Launcher?

Also that to use GPS in the car, you would create the task in Tasker and use Task Launcher to create an NFC tag to start GPS?

You don't have to have Tasker in order to use Task Launcher. If you just want to launch Google Navigation, it would go like this:
Step 1 - Create a new tag in NFC Task Launcher.
Step 2 - Select "New Task".
Step 3 - Add action.
Step 4 - Select "Applications and Shortcuts"
Step 5 - Select "Application"
Step 6 - Select "Navigation" from the drop-down list
Step 7 - Select OK
Step 8 - Select "Done"
Step 9 - Write the tag
Step 10 - Profit.

That worked!! I could have sworn I had done exactly that procedure before. I put it down to age.
Thanks.
