Help Task Manager keeps popping up. (Annoying as !@#$)

Lurker
I've looked everywhere and either this is a very rare problem or I'm not doing the search right.

The Task Manager on my Galaxy W just won't stop popping up! It's like the home button is stuck (it isn't, I checked).

It pops up, I press the back button and then it goes away for a few seconds...but then it comes right back!

When I quickly press the lock button after sending it away with the back button, it takes a screen shot instead of locking the phone.

I tried restarting my phone several times. I even took out the battery and SIM card and let it rest. No change.

Any ideas?

Well, this is the first I'VE heard of it.....

I tried duplicating this problem (like I do with every post I try to troubleshoot) but to no avail.

But I'm trying to help as much as possible. You made no mention of your version of android, so I'm assuming you have the latest for a Galaxy W, which is 2.3.5

Try this first:

Go into "Applications" > "Settings" > "Applications" > "Manage Applications" > tap on the "All" tab > scroll down to "Task Manager" and tap on it > tap on "Clear Data" and THEN "Force Stop" (in that order)

Let me know if that works
