Tasker Alarm From Email + Ignoring Specific Folder

Hi Androidforums users,

I thank you for taking the time to read my post. I am a remote Server + Storage admin and am trying to find a way to use tasker to trigger an alarm from incoming email, however, as many emails are simply positive health checks from tons of systems I have a folder setup in my email for these emails that can be ignored. My question, is it possible to set tasker to trigger an alarm only from emails that reach my main inbox and not all incoming emails? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

How are emails directed to your special folder? Put another way ... how do you determine that the email should be placed in that folder?

Thanks so much for the reply Thom! Just simple outlook rules that read the subject or sender.

So when you do that test, if it does not match, set a variable with some value.

Have a separate profile that is triggered by the presence of the variable with a task that resets the variable and sounds the alarm.
