Help Tasker : Automatic set up shared internet

I have S3 and Nexus 7. I was thinking maybe I could use the NFC and tasker to easy/automatic set up shared internet on the s3 when I bump the devices together. Any thoughts?

Well, Tasker doesn't have NFC support, so you'd have to use another app to trigger Tasker. However, I think all of the apps that work with Tasker only work with tags.

It would be a pretty cool capability if you can figure it out though.

That's what I thought. ;-) I have ordered NFC stickers now, maybe I will just post one on the inside of a case for the nexus. Let say at the bottom, so when I touch the s3 on the bottom of the nexus inside it's case it will automatic start shared internet. ;-)

I've been thinking about eBaying my 3G iPad 2, and then buying a Nexus 7. I thought I would need a widget to make enabling the hotspot more streamlined.

This is a cool idea that you have. If you get it working be careful about putting the two devices together in a backpack, briefcase, or just together in your car, etc....

True. My S3 is never far from my hand or pocket, so I dont think that will be a problem. I will let you know how it works out.
