Tasker-flight mode and alarm clock plus

I did a tasker mode to turn on flight mode when I sleep at night. I followed this link: Airplane Mode at Night - Tasker Wiki
Tasker is set to run between 1am-6am.

I also turn on alarm clock plus desk clock and charge the phone during sleep. When I turn on the clock, and then tasker flight mode kicks in, it goes away from the dock mode into the sgs2 menu to enable the flight mode. Only problem is that it does not go back to the dock screen and I have to manually press the back button.

When I wake up in the morning, tasker does disable the flight mode without going into the phone settings. Is there a way to make tasker enable flight mode in the background when alarm clock plus is running? The task works fine to disable the flight mode, but not enable it.

I need to on alarm clock plus mode first because I use the accuweather built in widget to get weather and that needs data connection for the weather to be first displayed. When I wake up, the alarm will tell me the time and what is the weather.

I use Tasker for about 25 profles and love it but I found a GREAT alarm app I use everyday in conjunction to Tasker doing my custom sleep mode. Read the descriptions and see what you think. Of course I ended up paying for the non-free ($3.99) version for full capability but I would do it again in a second.

It talks to me...greets me by name, gives me the weather, tells me my appointments for the day, my mail, custom news
, rss feeds, quote of the day, this day in history and much more all customizable.

If you're using Airplane Mode to avoid being disturbed, you could just use Silent Mode instead, but you've probably already considered that.

Have you tried having Tasker load the alarm clock app after turning on Airplane Mode?

If I use silent mode, then the I get the notification light? I did not consider that, because I don't want any disturbance. Will try that tonight.

If I do the second one, the weather app will not be up to date prior to sleep

I should have been more clear. What I meant was load the alarm clock app while Airplane Mode is off so it can get current information, then turn Airplane Mode on, then reload the alarm clock app (assuming it retains the data it got immediately before).

Silent mode will not work because alarm clock plus uses the media volume, not the alarm volume.

Yes, that method will work, and I usually press the power button to enable flight mode without leaving alarm clock plus

Silent Mode only affects ringer and notification sounds. Media and Alarm are unaffected.
