Tasker help - deep sleep?

I recently purchased Tasker and built a few profiles. Nothing fancy...just some location based profiles that will silence the phone or play a tune at a specific location. I am using "net" only (no GPS) for the location. I'm on the HTC One X. Here's what happens. When I arrive at the location, the profile doesn't kick off. As soon as I unlock the phone, it recognizes the location and the profile works as designed. It seems like Tasker isn't doing anything until I access the phone...which defeats the purpose...If I have to open the phone and access it, I could just as easily silence it at that time...

I'm very new to Tasker, so some of you experts please give me some suggestions on what to look for...or is it just a design issue?

By default, Tasker checks things like location every 10 minutes when the display is off, and every 2 minutes when the display is on. I too often see it do these sorts of things when I turn the display on, and have always assumed that when it does so it is because the display is now on and it has been more than 2 minutes since the last check.

You can change these settings in Menu > Preferences > Montitor Tab > Display Off Monitoring.

I vaguely recall there being some issue with network locations while the display is off, but that issue wouldn't affect me so I haven't really been following its progress.

You might want to take a look at the Tasker Forums to see if there's any info on this issue.
