Tasker Help with a profile

Hi,

I'm new to Tasker. Could you please help me with the following. I'm trying to write a profile that does the following:

While I'm teaching in a class, I want mobile data and wifi disabled during the class to save battery, and any call that I receive during the class is dropped with a follow up sms saying that I'm in a class. My class schedules are stored in a google calendar called "Teaching".

I could do the first part i.e I could disable mobile data and wifi during my classes but could not do the rest.

Any help in this direction is welcome.

if you disable wifi & data, your phone will never know when it has an incoming call, so the rest will not work. You need to keep your mobile data active and maybe turn off the sound instead, if you want it to detect incoming calls.

I do not see your point. Even with data switched off, GSM connection remains active which means that the phone can receive and make calls and SMS.

the reason i say that is because I used to have a profile that turned off data and wifi during certain hours and I was not able to receive phone calls but I guess that wasn't the reason.

I have set up a profile to detect a calendar entry with "mute" in the description to mute my phone.
It would be quite easy to modify this to turn of wifi and data for the duration of the calendar entry
