Tasker not doing anything

Activated tasker and its says validated and can do backup to sd so its validated but it is not doing any actions/events, any ideas? using android 4.0.4 rooted with "advanced stock kernel" kernel version 3.0.8+1.0.21100" and build "6.1.A.0.452" i am using sony xperia s too.

What are you trying to have Tasker do? Can you export one of your profiles (in description form) and post it here for troubleshooting?

it doesn't do any of them... i open the menu click "run an action" then make it vibrate but it doesn't vibrate. not working.. 1 test profile is set to vibrate when phone shakes but it doesn't detect phone shake or any other states/events

Tasker must be enabled (the "on" button at the bottom right) for profiles to activate, but that shouldn't affect the "run an action" option. I assume other apps are able to make your phone vibrate. If you've got other examples of things that don't work with "run an action", I would try deactivating Tasker, removing it, re-installing and reactivating. If you want to save any of your profiles, make sure you back them up in Tasker before removing or deactivating.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try contacting the developer, or posting in the Tasker Google Group.
