Tasker Objective

Hi. I'm looking to do a very specific thing with tasker. I wonder can anyone help.

Here's the lowdown:
I use Textdroid to text numbers that arent included in my carrier's allowance (it's like an SMS client that automatically connects to my O2 online account so i can send texts through my free webtext allowance of 250 texts).

So once i get a text from someone that is outside my carriers allowance i have to open my SMS client (Go SMS) to read it, close that, and open TextDroid to reply.

So, what i want to be able to do is, once i press on the 'type to compose' field of Go SMS to reply, it would open TextDroid and automatically open a reply screen to the very same person that i got the text from in the first place.

It is a very very specific thing that you probably cant do with tasker but it would make things a lot easier for me if you could. It would also give me great pleasure to know that this extremely powerful app can do exactly what i want it to do.

Sorry if i didnt explain this properly. If so, please ask.
 
You can set it to open the other app on receiving a text from certain people but I don't think there's a way to set it to open another app when you press something in a different one. I'm new to tasker though so I may be missing some ability or way to do this.
 
If you clear your Messaging default, wouldn't hitting reply automatically bring up Textdroid along with Go SMS as choices to reply with?

You just have to live with not having a default set for SMS and always have to choose.

i couldnt live with that. lol. it would annoy me too much to have to chose the client that i reply with. but thanks for the suggestion.
 
i have another objective that is a lot simpler than my original one.

i have tasker turn my wifi off when i turn the display off and turn wifi back on when i turn the display on. but on saturdays between 3 and 5 when the footy is on i want wifi to be on constantly so i can get alerts when my display is off.

Profile 1: Screen On Wifi

Context: Display On
Task: Wifi On
Exit Task: Wifi Off

Profile 2: Football Wifi

Context: Day (Saturday) + Time (15:00-17:00)
Task: Profile Status (Screen On Wifi set to Off)
Task: Wifi On

Exit Task: Profile Status (Screen On Wifi set to On)
