Tasker questions

I've used Llama for years because it was so easy to use, but since there are some problems with how it works now & the dev seems like he's abandoned it, I'm trying Tasker again. It seems a bit more user friendly now than when I first tried it years ago.

I have fairly simple needs; I've created location based profiles/rules/whatever they're called, to silence my phone at night & at work, as well as turn on wifi when I get home & turn it off when I leave home. These seem to work, so I'm happy about that.

A couple more things I'd like to do but don't know how:
1) When camera app is in the forefront, silence system sounds, then put them back to their previous state when camera is no longer in forefront. I promise I'm not a freak taking pics of anything bad, I just don't like my shutter going off when I snap pics. Sometimes the best pics of family & pets are when they don't realize you're taking their picture.

2) When earbuds are plugged in, ask me if I'm using Netflix, tunein radio, or the built-in music player. I figured out how to change volume when I plug them in but I don't have a clue how to get it to ask me to pick the app.

3) Shake to turn on flashlight - this would be awesome but I'm not sure if it will work? My phone is a Sprint LG G3 & there's not a flashlight app, but there is a built-in flashlight that I can turn on through OK Google by voice. Is it possible to set up shake to turn that on, without having to install another flashlight? Even if I need another flashlight for this to work, if possible it would be nice when shaken, to have a "turn flashlight on?" pop up so I can confirm I meant to do that, rather than have it just pop on inside my purse randomly, by accident.

If there's a simple guide somewhere that would help with these, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

FYI in case it matters, my phone is running Lollipop & isn't rooted.

There is a lot of information available online. Try Google-ing what you are looking for and include the word Tasker.

The learning process I recommend ... start out with something small ... nibble away at adding to it seeing what works and what doesn't.

System sounds? Why not just silence whatever he stream is that the camera is using?

Pick an app ... display a scene with three buttons ... each button launches an app.

Shake ... Profile | Event | Gesture | Shake

I appreciate the response. I just started looking at Tasker a couple days ago on my breaks at work, & haven't had a free evening to look for much help yet so I feel like I'm doing pretty darn good. Some of what I have seen when googling has dates from several years ago, & it either was written for a much older version, or I just don't get it, lol.

I don't know where the sound for the shutter is actually coming from, so I was thinking system sounds was a decent guess? I don't remember what the options are.

The rest of what you said... "whoosh", over my head. I don't know yet what a scene is in Tasker.

You can turn the other six volumes to 0 and it should be quiet. Then turn them on one at a time and you should be able to identify the stream. Media seems likely.
