Help Tasker Shortcuts not working

Tasker Shortcuts not working
1. Create task Named “ALERT”
Alert …. Beep …. Assign an ICON (very simple / no conditions)
2. Close Tasker
3. Slide home page to far left
4. Press and hold the spot and select from Task Shortcut the Task “ALERT”
PROBLEM: Now when I tap the ALERT icon.. nothing happens
( I believe I have checked all Settings (Sounds/Volumes) and all are maxed )
I’m Lost ?

1 - Did you try executing the task from Tasker directly to see if it works?
2 - What launcher are you using?

There are two ways for external apps to run Tasker tasks. Most use a method which does not require the Tasker preferences "allow external access" to be checked. But some do require that.

For example my launcher (Nova) can launch a tasker task without "allow external access"
Tasker shortcuts on my watchmaker app will not work unless I check "allow external access"

There is a Tasker forum on this site btw.

It works when I press the Arrow while in the task? Researching your other "tips".

1 - It works when executed directly from Tasker
2 - "allow external access" is checked
3 - It does not work from launcher shortcut

1 thru 3 are correct?
That's a headscratcher.

What launcher are you using? (if it's a lesser known launcher, my next recommendation would be to try a different launcher to see if it works there)

It works directly.
About "Launcher" .. My appologies but I have no idea as this phone is brand new. I do not think I have added any launchers so it is probably the default for LG L33L SUNSET.

Hi

I can't add tasker shortcuts to my home screen anymore. When I tap Tasker among the list of shortcuts, the list of tasks it doesn't pop up and actually nothing happens. Any idea what's wrong?
