Tasker, Synker, and LED Notifications

I have a profile that Syncs my email every hour between specified times. I am using Synker to retrieve my emails. Unfortunately, the LED doesn't flash when emails are received. Does anyone know how to flash the LED if there are any unread emails?

why not just use a free app like light manager to flash the led.

Thanks for the suggestion. Requires root access for email, which I'm not prepared to do.
