Tasker timing and executing profiles

I want to create a profile that runs between 8am and 9am. I need to execute a task (adjusting the screen brightness) "continuously". The only way I have been able to do that is to set the profile to repeat every 5 minutes, for example, but there has to be a more elegant way to do that? How often does Tasker poll the profiles to see if they are valid or not?

Any help is appreciated.

Continuously is a little over statement. Lets say every couple of minutes? Five minutes is OK but I was just looking for something a little more elegant.

Just trying to understand how often tasker asks if a profile is valid or even if it does on a regular basis. Is it a requirement that I put a repeat time in the actual profile or is it just redundant?

BTW - thanks for the help!

I mean, you could set it to complete the task every minute, or you could set it to turn down the brightness when you turn the screen on.

On a top most page ...

Settings | Preferences | Monitor panel | Display off monitoring | Light sensor

Try "Yes" or "Yes, And Keep Android Awake"
