Technical problem

I bought a samsung 551 two months back.

I am facing the following problem.

When I am connecting the phone to the charger, the device is switched off automatically, and to on it I have to press the switch on button several times, the screen displays uncharged battery repeatedly and after a few tries the battery icon shows charged condition and phone is on then.

Rest functioning of my phone is nice and upto the mark excluding the low battery life.

Please suggest me a solution for the above problem.

If I understand you correctly, it sounds like your phone has run completely out of power and has shut down on it's own. When you plug it it it won't power on until there is at least a minimal charge on the battery.

It's not a good idea to let the battery drain to zero as constant deep discharges can harm the battery.

Go to care centre and have it replaced/repaired.There was a bad batch of 551's and your's is one of them!!
frankly samsung doesnt care a shit about this phone.
