Root Telus HTC Desire Question

I just purchased an unlocked Telus HTC Desire. I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with rooting the phone or applying any updates to it. The reason why I am asking is because I read somewhere that since Telus's version of the Desire has the Sony LCD screen that there may be issues.

Check your HBOOT version 1st. Then go to "Desire - All Things Root" section and check for the articles.

You should be fine if you follow the guides there.

I'm running 2.2 perfectly fine on my desire. I just rooted my friend's Telus desire as well, both runs like a charm.
