what intervals does most people have temp monitor at to maintain a good battery life i have it at 30 seconds and as of now its up to 7 percent of my battery use

Over Macho Grande?
I only run it when my droid feels warm to the touch and at the beginning to be sure the processor was doing OK. But I dont keep it on for general use.
