Help Temporary fix for SOD

rushmore

Extreme Android User
1 Screen orientation unlocked
2 Screen lock setting set to on
3 Wifi set to sleep when on battery
4 Sleep set at ten minutes, so less chance to forget turning it off
5 Always manually press power for sleep

Went from 80% sleep issue to 0% for two days. So far.

Android still has bugs with WIFI it seems.
Try this: keep wifi off, and try putting it on and off sleep several times.

It is advisable that if you move out, you need to turn off wifi. When you arrive at destination, turn wifi back on.

Yep, Android and all the hardware fragmentation has some issues.

So far, no SOD events based on the process noted above. No sleep or wake issues. Having to do the steps seems silly, but working for my Thrive, none the less.

The only manual step is the power button and already a habit for me now. Pavlov would be proud. Ruff!

That sounds like a possible method to fix the SOD, but even if it works, I'm pissed. Why should I pay $550 for a 32gb tablet, that have this annoying a** sleep disorder and auto rebooting issues. I bought mine on 7/5/2011, today is 7/26/2011, still waiting for a fix, this is BS. I've got till 8/6/2011 to get an RMA #, and possibly to extend that time period. But still, it's BS on the part of both Toshiba and Google ----- I'm sure it would've been worse if it was from MS though :D Crap, I want an Ice Cream Sandwich too.
