Tempted by the S3

Full disclosure. I have had 6 RIM phones as well as the PB. I have been very tempted by the S3 since watching the phonearena review. I am very intimidated never having used the Android UI. Has anyone else made the transition and how difficult was it?

I had a blackberry (curve 8320) before leaping onto android when the HTC Desire came out. I couldn't believe how amazing it was. I couldn't stop playing with it, and as a consequence, I very quickly learned how to use all its features. Your biggest concern will be with the battery running out because you play with it too much :)

Don't be intimidated. You'll love it.

If you need more reassurance, just check out the HTC One X forum, and see all the people that have jumped onto android for the first time and totally love it, irrespective of which platform they are migrating from.

The biggest thing would be getting used to what appears to be more complicated interface and virtual keyboard being used to RIM devices. The, there is my Playbook which I assume means an android tablet. Does the S3 bridge to the Galaxy Tablet?

The virtual keyboard, for me, was an easy adjustment from a physical keyboard. But you may have to try a few keyboards before you find one that's comfortable. SwiftKey, Swype, and the default ICS keyboards are very nice ones that I like.

This may sound stupid. Will the US version being 4G LTE make for the dualcore processor instead of the quadcore processor in the UK version?
