Help Terrible call quality - anyone else?

Hi everyone,

My HTC Sensation has terrible call quality - I can hear static in the background and there is a distorted echo on the speakers voice (apologies for a terrible description of the problem).

Is anyone else having problems similar to this? I love the phone but I'm not sure I could live with this. Im tempted to send it back for a Desire S!

Not had any problems with it, maybe a dodgy phone or poor reception!

FWIW, as a VoIP engineer, and self-proclaimed audiophile (all conrad-johnson tube gear), I'm not "happy" with the sound quality from ear piece nor speaker. I hear distortion on the upper/max volume levels but most call quality issues are not present when speaking to someone on a land line, or similar network (GSM).

If you're hearing static on every call, to every type of connection (cellular, landline, VoIP), especially when you have a good 3G/4G signal, then as stated, try getting a replacement. But again, even in good conditions, I don't feel the audio quality is anything above average with this device.

I thought the speaker would have been more powerful with more bass!

No problems with my handset and with 3g reception I have hd voice calls which are superb

Maybe my phone is normal then and I just expected too much from the call quality?

I'm still not sure whether I can live with it though? Arrggh, not sure what to do!
