Hi Guys,
This is my first post!
Anyway, I have got some HTC Sensation's that I want to use as wifi hotspots through our own private APN with Orange.
Have created the hotspots. The attached terthering devices have connected, giving me internet access ... all good.
However, its doesn't give me access to my local LAN, which is where the APN goes to. It appears that the Android phone sets up its own wifi network (192.168.1.x) that routes the data through to my proxy out to the tinternet :-( I assume it creates a VPN tunnel through the APN to the gateway.
I want the terthering devices to work exactly like the HTC phones when connecting to the APN. ie It logs onto the APN, we get an ip address from our Local LAN, and we set a proxy address up for the unit to have access to the internet. This means we can access mail servers etc as well as getting to google.
Anyone been in this senario before.
Any advice given will be greatly appreciated.
