Help Tether a Galaxy Tab to Inc?

I am thinking about getting a Galaxy Tab (wifi only), but I want to be sure I can tether it to my Incredible. I do the native tether with my laptop and would want the same capability with a tablet.

Anyone done this with thier Incredible yet?

I do it all the time with a Tab 10.1. Just put your phone in hotspot mode, turn on the tab and look for the HTC wireless network. Sign in and you are good to go. It will connect automatically after you set it up the first time.

You should also be able to do that with Open Garden Wireless tether for root. I use that with my Nook Color.

I'm not talking about a hotspot. That requires the hotspot service (and more $$).
I am talking about tethering to the Inc and using it as a modem (on the 3G signal) when there is no wifi available.

And I don't want to root my phone. I'm happy with it as is.

You can keep the stock software if you root.

Assuming your talking about using the usb cable to tether to your phone, than I'm pretty sure you can't without the USB host adapter. And there is no guaranty you can tether even if you had the dongle. If you want tethering just root the phone.
