tether android phone to tablet??

Hi I have a LG vs660 vortex with 2.2.2 rooted with superuser trying to figure out how to tether (wifi I guess or USB if possible ) to my MID tablet with 2.3.3?? Suggestions please. Have tried barnacle and wifi tether which apparently I heard have been blocked by vzw? Thank u.?
