Help Tethering HD 8.9 and Bionic

Any input. I'm a N7 owner and my father is looking at an HD 8.9 for my stepmother. His main concern is tethering it to their Bionic (each have one).

What is the best method/root needed?

Thanks in advance.

Are you asking for root on the Bionic: http://androidforums.com/bionic-all...orola-droid-bionic-all-things-root-guide.html

The root guide in there is dependent on what version of android you are running. Menu / Settings / About Phone. or Info. Your Android version will be listed in there somewhere. I don't have the Bionic, so I'm not really knowledgeable with that device.

If you follow the root guide in there for the Bionic you should be good to go. Root on the Kindle isn't really necessary unless you want to change your rom.

Explain in detail what "tethering with a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and his Bionic" means. What exactly does he want to do?

I didn't think it would be this hard of a question...

Does the Kindle Fire HD8.9 require root access for tethering?

Will PDANet+/Foxfi be required to tether a Bionic with the tablet?

Is there a better app that HD owners use for internet access?

Nope i've been looking for over a month since my phone doesn't support it you might get lucky and find a way with yours

Unless I'm reading the question wrong, I installed foxfi on my bionic (paid version) and tether my kindle fire to it with no problems.
