Help Tethering issues while on roaming.

Hi all,
I have xperia u phone and i was able to use hotspot tethering to connect to the internet on my laptop with good results while at home. Problem is while on roaming mode (With data roaming enabled on phone) i cannot use tethering option to connect to internet. As soon as i enable both portable hotspot and data access an error message stating "Network error" is appearing on screen. This problem occurs only on roaming mode. Can someone help me with this??

I'm not completely positive but I believe the roaming connection isn't as stable/strong as the regular 3G connection thus the case you can't use the tethering option while roaming. I'll do some digging on this and get back to you.

Hi!

I had the same trouble when I changed my traditional operator for a virtual mobile operator.

It happened because my actual operator uses others operators nets and my phone detects that it is roaming mode despite i'm in my country.

To solve this problem i configured my APN connection according to my vmo. Since I did it, i am able to use tethering with roaming.
