Tethering issues

Does anyone else have tethering issues with the Zmax Pro? I've used 8g of my mobile hotspot data so I bought a extra 1gb and it was extremely slow. I called customer service and they couldn't help me out. I don't understand.. if I buy a extra 1gb shouldn't my speeds go back to normal until my data is used up. So I tried out Foxfi because I was getting throttled. When I try the usb tethering option it doesn't connect to my computer for some unknown reason. I made sure the drivers were correctly downloaded and when I try to start, it says it can't connect try turning on usb tethering on the pda app. I should mention if I try turning on usb tethering without foxfi it will connect fine.
When I try the Bluetooth tethering it works but the speeds can be extremely slow. I've tried changing my apn and I can't figure out the problem. Is there a way to really bypass the data limit?

I've created a guide to bypass tethering restrictions. This only works on Wifi though.

To be more clear, this will completely bypass hotspot data restrictions meaning it will use your data and not hotspot data. I'm assuming that you're on the 60 dollar Unlimited plan so you should be able to do this. You need to use wifi tethering though.

Thanks that would actually be useful but there's no root for this phone. Any alternative for the TTL?

You only need root on the devices CONNECTING to the hotspot, not the phone that is hosting it.
Your Zmax doesn't need to be rooted, the devices you use need to be rooted.
