I am definitely no expert here you guys are moving in and out of the fuzzy range for me. Can someone break it down for me. My question is with this application would it be possible to ad-hoc the g1 to another pc that has internet access. I originaly tried this with my pc at home cause I had a wifi pci card and figured why go buy a router if I can ad-hoc it. I followed all the directions for the card and set it all up with wep key and all but could not get the g1 to detect the network. After talking to a friends brother who is a networking god he came to the conclusion that I did everything right (suprise) but that he doubts that the phone has ad-hoc capabilities. So I called cs and boy did that blow their minds. I ended up at tech support with a Google trained Android rep and she did not know the answer as I was the first person to call in about ad-hocing this phone. She was pretty much at a loss and told me that I knew more about it than she did and wished me luck. Which gave me mixed emotions. Sad cause I couldn't save $30 bucks on a wifi router and proud cause I taught myself some basic networking stuff and stumped someone who is supposed to be the expert.
