Tethering or hotspot

Hi i have an LG OPTIMUS Q from Straight talk and I trying to tether it or use it as a hotspot but i can't get it to work anyone know how to deo that please help

Go to menu>settings>wireless and network>tethering>mobile AP. Activate it, and you're good to go.

what do u do when u dont have that option on ur phone.. I have the optimus Q lgl55c throw straight talk and it does not give me that option. is there a tethering app i can use that will work.
If any1 can help me out i would really be great full. I live out in the country and cant get internet out there. the onlu option is do go to whataburger like i am know or get it working.
