For those that have metro pcs tethering plan; do you guys have to use a user agent?

Do you recommend getting this plan instead of tethering the free way?

I don't remember which thread but someone had said yo can only go on a couple websites so to go on others you still have to change your user agent string

Yeah I remember someone saying that but I wasn't sure if they had the tethering plan

with using user agent you can surf the web all you want. if u pay the extra $10 a month u dont have to use any user agent on browser but its quickly used on your monthly data allowance.

I've just noticed something odd today...
Not sure if it's only me, but when I turn on my hotspot (using AOKP), all internet traffic is stopped except from the default browser, which is then uber-slow...
By all internet traffic, I mean BOTH on phone (Google Chrome, Dolphin, random app with internet access, like the Facebook app for example) and laptop (running linux, and using Google Chromium).
But as soon as I turn off tethering, everything is all well and fast again (on the phone that is, since then I can't test the computer )

seems you havn't done an online account with metropcs.com yet, if not then signup and register your device there. once you do you can go to your account and check your monthly data usage aka allowance

It's a $10 add on for 4G plans without unlimited data

Some people have said that you can only go on a few websites like Facebook, Google etc. Don't have that plan so I can't confirm it. To tether you can just use a VPN or change the user agent on what ever device your trying to tether

I do have one but I hardly get on and whenever I got on it was at 0%
Consider I usually got on to pay my bill a couple of days before it was due
